CEO and cofounder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has officially become a billionaire. Yup, thats right, a self-made billionaire. And how exactly did he do this? By dropping out of college.
Yes, it goes against everything we are taught in life and everything we are told. "Go to school, get an education, and you will become successful." Zuckerberg did the complete opposite by dropping out of Harvard in 2004 and starting the social networking site we all know as Facebook. In doing so, he made himself a billionaire.
Now, I'm not opposed to this young man being rich considering all of the cofounders of the site participate and are actively involved in giving back to charity. However, I will say that becoming a billionaire from a social networking site is a bit ridiculous. Contrary to that thought, one must reward creativity. I know, I'm torn on what I really think about how much money he is making. Maybe I'll just drop out of college and start my own social networking site, I hear that industry pays.
